Said Awad Araale (spelt Siciid Cawad Caraale in Somali) is a veteran producer located in Rari Buul, near Ambar Gubene in Saahil province. He collects maydi and myrrh.
Said Awad has been elected chairperson of the Beeyo Maal foundation (not to be confused with the Beeyo Maal cooperative, run entirely by women) to which 10% of all 2Mages sales accrue. This is evidence of his concern for sustainable production of resins in Somaliland. The foundation will keep 2Mages and its customers (if they desire) abreast of activities undertaken by the it.
